Site Launch: Parkway Utility District

Parkway Utility District

Parkway Utility District, Houston, Texas We were asked to design the site of Parkway Utility District, a Houston area municipal utility district providing sewer, trash pickup and water services to residents in northeast Houston. They required ease of updating by district board members, document uploads and some SEO. We chose CMS Made Simple because it has an intuitive User Uploads module and an easy to use backend that allows meta data on a per-page basis. Plus, there was talk down the road of a members-only login capability and CMS-MS has its wonderful Front End Users (FEU) module that would take care of that nicely. A custom PHP script calculates the District’s monthly board meeting date and displays it on the front page.

Site Launch: StonefieldVillas.org

Stonefield Villas Homeowners Association

Stonefield Villas Homeowners Association We were asked to redesign the web site of the Stonefield Villas Homeowners Association. It had been running on WordPress but WP’s document upload process was rather buggy and didn’t work on all browsers. And since they weren’t going to do any blogging, we suggested a “hard core” CMS, CMS Made Simple. It has an intuitive User Uploads module and an easy to use photo gallery module. They were sold. Other modules used include Calendar, Bookmarks, Events, and a relatively new module, TrueType, which allows renderable text to be displayed anywhere on the site. (We are using Edwardian ITC on the titles, to match the banner font.)

Site Launch: Hastings Law Firm, P.C.

HastingsFirm.com

Hastings Law Firm, P.C. We were asked to set up a new web site for a local plaintiffs law firm. The requisites for the site were ease of updating, the ability to upload firm whitepapers, custom form development, and an easily updated News feature. We chose CMS Made Simple as the site’s content management system. Photography is courtesy Marmalade Photos.

Site Launch: CORECapital

CORECapital.info

CORECapital.info We were asked by financial wizard Greg Wallace to create an investment site for him. We decided that CMS Made Simple would be the best solution to help him and his staff maintain the site once it’s up and running. We basically took a PowerPoint presentation and broke it down into static pages. There will be new Time Weighted Reports posted each month, so CMS Made Simple’s News module is perfect for that. All graphic artwork is by Pixelita’s Ivan Minic.

Site Redo: Idylwood Civic Club

Idylwood Civic Club

Idylwood Civic Club, Houston, Texas Pixelita Designs is pleased to announce the launching of the new and improved Idylwood Civic Club web site. I (Joni Mueller), being a resident of Idylwood, in Houston, Texas, was asked to serve as the Club’s web master and revamp the site. The Board members needed to be able to post news items and update the site themselves. They also wanted an Event Calendar, a Photo Gallery and backend support for private login. After a disappointing misstep with Drupal, we chose CMS Made Simple to drive the Club’s web site. we were able to tighten the overall design and give the Club exactly what it needed and wanted. Now they are able to maintain the site with ease.
