Site Launch: Systems Project Management LLC
Systems Project Management LLC
When our liaison for a recent Utility District project came to us with a request for his consultancy web site and told us he wanted just a few static pages, we knew that we’d be developing his site using the oh-so-simple Get Simple CMS. As you might already know, Get Simple needs no database, but uses XML files. It will be easy for our client to update his own site when the need arises. Techniques employed on the site include a munged email contact link, a contact sheet in the sidebar (easy to do with Get Simple’s “components” feature). The client is very pleased with the site and also with how easy it appears to be to maintain.
Site Launch: Gus Wortham Conservancy
Pixelita Designs created the online presence for the Gus Wortham Conservancy. The site is run completely by conservancy members, who are volunteers in the community and who receive no remuneration, but who are tirelessly devoted to the preservation and conservation of Gus Wortham Park, Houston’s oldest municipal golf course. The group wanted something easy to update, lean and mean, so we chose a new, up and coming CMS called GetSimple CMS. It needs no database, but uses XML files. It will be easy for the group to maintain the site, since GetSimple offers backup and restore functions right from the dashboard, along with an “Undo” button for just about every task.
