It’s apparently official that dotCanada has purchased AffordableHOST.

Well, I was wondering why the IRC and support forums have been down for the past few weeks over at AffordableHOST. My reseller webhosting account has been with AffordableHOST for the past two years and I’ve generally been very pleased with it. Downtime has been minimal and advance warning of planned outages has always been given. IRC was always very helpful and sometimes very personable and even entertaining.

I sometimes felt like I was talking across the back fence to my neighbor. Now I feel like I’m watching them pack up the moving van and drive away. My web hosting account is paid through October 2005. I’m going to watch dotCanada carefully to see what their plans are.
